My Marlowe Opening Weekend

PANeK, with support from Canterbury City Council, is delighted to be commissioning a very special performance for the opening of the fabulous, new Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury. The piece brings together performers who normally create work for their own companies (see below). Working together they will make an interactive and dynamic piece which will grow over the two hour period, spreading throughout the foyer, restaurant and plaza, surprising and engaging everyone they encounter.
There will also be a performance by Kent’s own Loop Dance Company and you will be able to explore the brand-new theatre and meet the staff.
Artists involved come from Bright Shadow, FAF Arts, Mischievous Theatre, Poco Loco Productions and Wide Eyed Theatre co-ordinated and artistically mediated by Gary Barber.

The team is dedicated to bringing you unforgettable performances in the magnificent new building. With a larger auditorium, the Marlowe can now attract the biggest and best touring shows and performances. There is also a new venue, The Marlowe Studio, where there will be experiences that surprise and inspire, with a wide range of performances, creative workshops, gigs and events.
