Applause Outdoors 212: Commission
Applause Outdoors 212 is joint project of PANeK and Applause Rural Touring. It will deliver contemporary outdoor performances at as many as 60 community events during summer 2012. Applause Outdoors 212 will place performances:
• at village fetes and similar events
• with our partners, Fuse Festival (Medway) and Deal Festival
• at events related to London 2012 and the Olympic Torch journey
Having made six development awards to Kent-based companies, Accidental Collective, Dizzy O’Dare Presents, Galloping Cuckoos, The Honk Project, Little Cauliflower Theatre and Parr and Rosenfeld to make new shows for the programme we are now looking to Commission a piece specifically related to the Olympic Torch Journey and designed to be performed at Torch Journey -related celebrations.
The commission fee is £20,000 which must include all planning and production costs for the making of the work and delivery of six performances. (NB additional performances may be required but these will attract additional fees.) The commission is open to all companies regardless of where you are based.
